When it comes to Palestine, very few think of vacation. But the autonomous areas have many sights.

Palestine is in the Middle East. The area is divided by the State of Israel, which repeatedly leads to disputes. The Gaza Strip is on the Mediterranean Sea and the West Bank – the second part of the Palestinian Authority – is in eastern Israel. Israel occupies parts of the West Bank, the Palestinian Authority is demanding control over the entire national territory. The country has further borders with Jordan and Egypt.
Situation in Palestine
In itself, vacation in the Palestinian Territories is possible. Possible in the sense of, there are sights, the beaches of the Mediterranean have warm water, the food of the region is tasty, but the political situation prevents a vacation. A study trip is quite possible for this. You should be aware of the situation in which you are traveling, at the latest at the first checkpoint you will have to deal with the situation.
Travel in Palestine
Shuttle buses run between the autonomous areas. You can also take a shared taxi in Israel. In the Gaza Strip there is mainly one long beach facing the Mediterranean, but the entire situation in Palestine is not touristy. The few hotels are in need of renovation and there is caution towards foreigners arriving from Israel.
There are many historical sites to visit in the West Bank. For example Hebron, Jericho or Bethlehem. The area is considered the cradle of Christianity – the Church of the Nativity – one of the most important Christian shrines is located in Bethlehem.
