At 80 meters tall, the Awaki Kannon Statue in Japan is one of the 10 largest statues in the world , with a temple below it closed since 2006 due to mismanagement.

Located in Russia, this was once the largest statue in the world at the time of its construction in 1967. It was erected in celebration of the Battle of Stalingrad.

At 116 meters tall, it is the 3rd largest statue in the world . Its construction began in 1996 but was only completed in 2008. It is located in Myanmar or Burma.

The biggest statue in the world is located in India having been completed in the year 2018 and is surrounded by an artificial lake of 12 km2. It is a monument dedicated to the leader of the Indian Independence Movement.
