Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

Keep emerging information, details, images and render for the new Samsung Galaxy S7, or rather the new series of top range from S7. The date is getting closer and closer and although a date has not yet been officially confirmed, the presentation may be on 21 February at around 18 in Barcelona on the occasion of the MWC 2016.

Pending lead the supposed dimensions and images of what should be the shell of S7 and S7 Edge, two of the four variants of S7 that will be marketed by the summer of 2016.

As we can see, the design is similar to S7 with a bend similar to Note 5 for Flat and “flipped” for model Edge. In practice, Samsung should use the same chassis, as happened on S6 5 Notes which are practically twins Edge Plus and overturned.

In the pictures you do not see but the same philosophy should be adopted for S7 Plus and S7 Edge Plus (then both curved but S7 Plus curved in the back to facilitate ergonomics as Note 5). More on http://www.percomputer.com/2015/beautiful-galaxy-trend-plus-covers-and-bags.html.

The images confirm another detail: the rear camera will be much less protruding than S6 since the thickness will be slightly higher (such as weight) by adopting a larger battery than the current top range (you should start from about 3000mAh).

The images were then placed side by side the following technical characteristics:

GALAXY S7:
  • 2 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display
  • 820 Snapdragon CPU (USA, China)/Exynos 8890 (Europe, Asia)
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 32 GB/64 gigs,expandable but only S7 Flat
  • Sony IMX300 20mp camera with OIS, phase detection auto focus, 1 µm pixel size
  • LTE Cat 12 (600Mbps downlink)
GALAXY S7 EDGE:
  • 5 inch dual-curved Quad HD Super AMOLED display
  • 820 Snapdragon CPU (USA, China)/Exynos 8890 (Europe, Asia)
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 32 GB/64 gigs, not expandable
  • Sony IMX300 20mp camera with OIS, phase detection auto focus, 1 µm pixel size
  • LTE Cat 12 (600Mbps downlink)

The plugs are back and the information is in line with the many previews that we have given in recent weeks and confirming the rumor coming from our sources. Still not clear on “fate” of version Galaxy S7 Plus (view http://www.computergees.com/the-most-popular-tablet-case-for-galaxy-tab-10-1-and-loss-2-10-1/2015/) that remains in a status of rumor yet to “prove”.
